America is getting fatter. So, how do we slim down the nation? A low-cost idea could do the trick. It's as simple as putting one foot in front of the other.
Experts say walking 30 minutes a day can reduce a woman's risk of heart attack by 30 percent, cut cancer risk in men by a third and reduce high blood pressure by nearly 30 percent.
One study found that a regular walking routine could actually reduce your health care costs by more than $300 a year.
