A DeSoto Parish family will lay to rest two loved ones tomorrow.
Annishia Freeman, 21, and her daughter, Ariel, 6, died in an early morning house fire in Stonewall on June 25. All services are being held for both Freeman and her daughter.
Visitation is tonight at the Winnfield Funeral Home, at the corner of Hollywood and Jewella in Shreveport, from 8:00-9:00pm. The funeral will be at the same location tomorrow at 11:00am. The Freemans will be buried at a cemetery at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in Kingston, Louisiana.
The family lost everything in the fire. One anonymous business donated $7,000 to help cover the family's funeral expenses. Rent-A-Center donated a load of furniture. If you would like to help as well, you can donate to the Shrone and Henrietta Gibson Donation Account at any Capital One branch.

My heart goes out to the Gipson and Freeman family. I have known them for years. I taught Annishia in first grade. Annishia was a sweet and smart little girl with a beautiful smile. Whenever I saw her, she would have that smile on her beautiful face. My prayers are with this family. Rest in peace, Annishia and Ariel.
