Memorial services for Theresa Ann "Tootsie" Emerson, 86, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Navare. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Tootsie was born on September 10, 1923 in Shreveport to Sam and Sarah Serio. She passed away on August 30, 2010 in Shreveport. She retired from the Shreveport Macaroni Factory after 61 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 35 years, Edward G. Emerson; brothers and sisters, May Dauman, Mary Bindo, Francis Burnley, Lucile Britt, Rose Gray, Charles Serio, Camille Serio and Tony Serio. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Ronald R. Willis and Kenneth R. Willis; daughter, Debra Williams; sister, Sarah Serio Carbone; brother, Vince J. Serio; seven grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
