Funeral services celebrating the life of Gloria McDearmont, 82, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Caraway. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday September 3, 2010 at the funeral home.

Gloria was born on August 25, 1928 to Earl and Anna McGilvray. She passed away on September 2, 2010 in Shreveport, LA. She was a life-long resident of Shreveport where she was a homemaker and a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Anna Mae Doman and brother, Ernest Wagner. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Lavaughan McDearmont; son, David McDearmont and wife, Barbara of Flower Mound, TX; daughter; Suzanne Henry and husband, Guy of Highland Village, TX; grandchildren, Scott McDearmont and wife, DeAnna, Kelley Roden and husband, Ronnie, all of Highland Village, TX; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kaitlyn McDearmont, Britney and Bailey Roden, all of Highland Village, TX.

Pallbearers will be Reggie Bain, Jerry Bain, Ronnie Roden, Soloman Wiggins, Blaine Nelson, and Richard McDearmont.
