Sherri Talley
Sherri anchors KTBS 3 News at 5 and 6, reports and is the news web producer for ktbs.com.
Over the years, Sherri's covered major events like Hurricane Ivan from Mobile, AL and 9-11 from Barksdale Air Force Base. During Hurricane Ike, Sherri conducted a live webcast for 14 hours straight, dispensing information as soon as it came in.
Sherri's honors include a 2009 Louisiana Governor's Award of Excellence for contributions to the community, The Louisiana Governor's Advocacy Award for Adoption and being named Best Anchor in Shreveport-Bossier for the past seven years by SB Magazine readers.
Sherri is deeply involved in Northwest Louisiana, having served on the board of directors for Habitat For Humanity and Mothers Against Drugs. She also twice chaired the American Cancer Society's signature event, Relay For Life.
A graduate of NSU in Natchitoches, Sherri got her start in radio as news director of the campus station, KNWD. She's also worked at KNOC/KDBH in Natchitoches, KWKH (where her mother was a radio personality in the 1960s), KBCL and KTAL-TV in Shreveport.
Sherri lives in Shreveport and has a son who is a student at Louisiana Tech University and a zany cat adopted from a local shelter. She likes running the great trails in the ArkLaTex and enjoys family, friends, cooking and swimming.
