Sonja Bailes
Sonja jumped at the chance to return home in 1995 and work for KTBS as the consumer reporter. Prior to landing at KTBS, Sonja worked for three years at KNOE-TV in Monroe, where she reported and anchored the morning show. Sonja has since moved into the morning show spot as co-anchor of KTBS 3 First News.
In her years at KTBS, Sonja has earned numerous local and state awards for her reporting. Some of those include first place for investigative as well as feature reporting from the Louisiana Associated Press, the Better Business Bureau's Consumer Reporter of the Year, the Volunteers of America's Altrusa Award and many more.
If you ask Sonja what she loves the most about her job, she's quick to tell you it's the people she meets and being able to make a difference by helping them find a solution to or resolve problems they encounter every day.
Sonja is a graduate of Airline High School in Bossier City and Louisiana Tech in Ruston, where she earned a degree in journalism. Sonja is married and the proud mother of a six-year-old son.
