About Dr. Goodman

"Blending the latest scientific information with personalized patient care is the way I approach the treatment of patients who have arthritic disease."

Board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, Dr. Goodman has been in private practice since the founding of The Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinic in December 1987. He was in private practice at Highland Clinic for two years before coming to the Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic.

A Louisiana native, he is a graduate of Jesuit High School in Shreveport, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport.

Dr. Goodman's post graduate training includes an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Tennessee Center for Health sciences in Memphis, Tennessee.

He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Rheumatology. In his leisure time, Dr. Goodman is an avid fly and bass fisherman, and enjoys horseback riding. He resides in Shreveport with his wife and has two sons.
