Meet The Specialists

	Willis Knighton Diabetes & Nutrition Center Dietary Counseling 318-212-4250
	Alicia Smith, MS, RD, LDN, CDE Alicia received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Louisiana Tech University in nutrition and dietetics. She completed a one-year internship in Shreveport through Louisiana Tech. She earned certification as a "Certified Diabetes Educator" in May, 2008. She has served as a dietitian with Willis-Knighton for the past five years, working with patients in critical care, neonatal care, and those on cardiac and medicine floors of the hospital. She has provided nutrition education to the community through presentations, publications, Healthwatch segments, cooking demonstrations, and health fairs.
	Amy Yates, RD, LDN, CDE Amy earned her bachelor of science degree from Louisiana Tech University. She has been employed with Willis-Knighton Health System for 10 years. Her experience with Willis Knighton includes inpatient care for medical-surgical areas and cardiac rehabilitation. As a Certified Diabetes Educator, she has provided outpatient counseling to patient at the Diabetes and Nutrition Center. Amy has been featured on the KTBS HealthWatch segments for the past nine years.
	Camille Guyton, RD, LDN Camille is a registered dietitian at Willis-Knighton working with outpatients at the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center and the outpatient Dialysis Center. She joined the health system in November, 2005. She holds a bachelor of science degree in dietetics and nutrition and a minor in business from Ouachita Baptist University. She served a dietetic internship with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
	Carla James, RD,LDN Carla received her bachelor's degree in dietetics from Louisiana Tech University in March 2007 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Dietetics from the same institution. She began working for Willis-Knighton as a student dietitian two years prior to completing her undergraduate degree. She has focused on nutritional issues with inpatient but she does occasional counsel outpatients. She is the incoming secretary for the Shreveport Dietetic Association and has a personal interest in learning about nutrition related to complementary and alternative care.
	Elizabeth Mangrum, MS, RD, LDN Elizabeth graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor of science in nutrition and dietetics. She recently obtained her master of science degree in nutrition and dietetics from the same institution. Elizabeth has been an inpatient clinical dietitian with Willis-Knighton Health System for four years.
	Micah Pullig, RD, LDN Micah graduated from Northwestern State University in 2005 with a bachelor of science in food and nutrition systems management and a minor in physical education. She completed the Dietetic Internship at McNeese State University in 2008 where she was named "Intern of the Year." Before coming to Willis-Knighton Health System, Micah was the clinical and outpatient dietitian for DeSoto Regional Health System in Mansfield. Micah has been a clinical inpatient dietitian at Willlis-Knighton Health System since January 2009. She also is a team dietitian for the health system's "Biggest Loser" contest.
