POSTED: 9:59 pm CDT September 7, 2010UPDATED: 1:21 am CDT September 8, 2010SHREVEPORT, La. -- President Obama has accused republicans of obstructing his latest plan to fix the ailing economy, even on issues both parties normally agree on.
KTBS asked Louisiana GOP Congressman John Fleming what he thinks about the proposed tax cuts. Fleming says he's concerned about the amount: $50 billion. Fleming says he wants more details.
"If it is a program that's going to give corporate welfare without being paid for and creating more debt, I'm not going to be for that; Fleming said.
Fleming said he would consider the plan if it cuts taxes across the board for businesses and individuals. He appeared at a town hall in Shreveport Tuesday night.
