Clippers' Paul sits out crucial game

The Los Angeles Clippers wanted to win Wednesday night at New York. They wanted to earn home-court advantage for themselves.

But ultimately, the Clippers decided they wanted Chris Paul as healthy as possible.

Paul, who suffered a mild groin strain Tuesday night, was in uniform Wednesday against the Knicks, but the team elected to have him sit.

The Clippers missed Paul's composure Wednesday, as they turned the ball over 14 times.

Eric Bledsoe, who started in place of Paul, scored only two points as the Knicks beat the Clippers 99-93.
