Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College head coach, Steve Campbell was expected to be announced as early as Wednesday, as the new NSU Demons head coach. After sleeping on an offer from NSU, Campbell decided to remain in the JUCO circuit at MGCJC, spurning the Demons.

Last year, Campbell turned down his alma mater, Southeastern Louisiana University when the Lions offered their head coaching post to him.
