OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - J.J. Watt caught a 1-yard touchdown pass as the Houston Texans beat the Oakland Raiders 30-14 yesterday. Watt made his biggest impact on the opening drive when he lined up as a tight end and caught a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to get Houston started. The home opener for the Raiders hardly could have gone worse as they fell behind 27-0 after three quarters and were booed.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - DeMarco Murray ran for 167 yards and a touchdown as the Dallas Cowboys routed the Tennessee Titans 26-10 yesterday. The loss spoiled Tennessee first-year coach Ken Whisenhunt's home debut. Dallas scored the first 16 points of the game in the first half.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Colby Lewis pitched seven innings for his 10th victory as the Texas Rangers completed their first series sweep in nearly five months with a 10-3 win yesterday over the playoff-chasing Atlanta Braves. Michael Choice put the Rangers ahead to stay with an RBI triple in the second. He then added a two-run double in the fifth on a play when he got hurt running the bases.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Dallas Keuchel took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning as the Houston Astros ended the Los Angeles Angels' 10-game winning streak with a 6-1 victory yesterday. Keuchel faced the minimum 21 batters from the major league-leading Angels through seven innings on a scorching day. The left-hander yielded three late hits.
