President Obama arrives in the Lone Star state

DALLAS, Tx. -

Air Force One touched down at Dallas Love Field Airport at 6:45 Wednesday evening.

Among the more than a hundred people standing alongside the Tarmac were Janetria Oliver, her husband, Osmond, and their young children.

"My heart was just bursting out of my chest," the mother of four said. "He was so close and he complimented my girls. I just could not believe he was standing in my face. Right in front of my face."

Given the recent Boston bombings and ricin-laced letters to the White House, US Air Force vet Osmond Oliver thought their chances of getting close to the commander in chief were slim.

"With everything that's been going on, we didn't know how security would be," Osmond Oliver said. "I was actually excited to see them come down and shake hands."

The president is in Dallas for the George W. Bush Presidential Center dedication 10 AM Thursday. From there, he will travel to Waco for a memorial remembering those lost in last week's West Fertilizer Plant explosion.
