Chrissi Coile

Chrissi co-anchors KTBS 3 First News beginning at 4:30 a.m. You can also catch her anchoring KTBS 3 News Midday.

The question Chrissi is asked most "What time do you have to get up in the morning?"

The answer is 3:00. She says naps are a must around her house!

The Arklatex is home for Chrissi. She grew up in Bossier City and graduated from Benton High School (Geaux Tigers). She then went on to get her degree in Mass Communications from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Chrissi says she tries to make it back down to South Louisiana as much as possible for some good Cajun cooking.

Chrissi grew up watching KTBS 3 News and decided in 7th grade that she wanted to report the news and followed her dreams. During college, Chrissi had the opportunity to intern at NY1 News in New York City. She began her TV career at KLFY-TV in Lafayette, where she was a reporter and weekend anchor.

Chrissi has had the opportunity to cover many incredible stories. She broke the Angie Garbarino story, the woman who wound up in a pool of blood at Shreveport police headquarters. The story received international coverage. Following her story, police implemented new regulations about treating prisoners.

One of her most thrilling assignments was flying in the cockpit of the Air Force Thunderbirds, showing viewers what it's like during high-performance aerobatics.

But Chrissi says her most rewarding experience is the annual visit to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, where she's able to share stories of children from the Ark-La-Tex who are battling cancer. Our coverage helps raise money for the hospital through the KTBS 3 St. Jude Dream Home giveaway.

In her spare time, Chrissi enjoys spending time with her husband, Patrick and chasing around her son, Wyatt and  daughter Olivia.

When she's not spending time with family and catching up on sleep, you'll find her volunteering, playing tennis, or playing fetch with her chocolate lab, Dude.

Chrissi looks forward to meeting with you and hearing your stories. Feel free to email her at ccoile@ktbs.com. You can also keep up with Chrissi on her Facebook page.
