Wendi Redman

Wendi is originally from Canada, eh! As much as she loves her home, British Columbia, she's very happy to trade her red snow boots for some green and purple flip flops.

Before coming to Louisiana, Wendi worked as evening anchor at WBTW in Myrtle Beach, SC as well as TV3 in Winchester, VA. One of her biggest stories she covered was the Virginia Tech Massacre of 2007. There she interviewed a student who learned her friend was one of the 32 killed.

Playing politics is something Wendi loves. She sat down one-on-one with Newt Gingrich as he prepped for a presidential run.

Wendi didn't always know she wanted to be in the news business but looking back at her childhood, there were definitely some signs. She used to play "CNN" with her sister. Yes, they would watch CNN, remember the stories, and then report them from the playroom. There is misplaced video evidence of this somewhere…

Wendi loves to see the world. She even lived in Paris, France at one point. So, how did she wind up in Shreveport? It's a bit of a love story. Wendi's boyfriend accepted a job here and then proposed on live TV! You can check out the proposal on YouTube. She happily accepted and packed her bags.

Thankfully, Wendi didn't have to give up her anchor dreams. When the KTBS family offered her a job, she jumped on it!
