Julie Parr

Julie Parr is a Multi-Media Journalist for the Texarkana bureau. She joined the KTBS team in 2003. Julie started as a reporter and later became a producer and photographer. She was born and raised in the Texarkana area.

After graduating from New Boston High School, Julie went on to study communications at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. She continued her education at Arkansas Tech University with a Master's degree in Multi-Media Journalism. While in college, Julie interned for the show "Good Morning Texas" at WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas, Texas.

Julie currently covers the news in a 13 county area which includes Texas and Arkansas. The Texarkana segment runs daily on Cable One.

Julie is a volunteer for the Runnin' W.J. Ranch in Texarkana, Texas. She's also a certified tutor for the Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties.

When she's not working, Julie enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling, photography, and playing tennis. She also has a love of the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. You can reach Julie by emailing her at jparr@ktbs.com.
