At the time, married men weren't supposed to be drafted. But that didn't stop Louis Pittman of Plain Dealing, Louisiana from getting his notice one month after he got hitched, and shipping out to Europe the next month for tough action in World II.

    The Military's Search for 1 little boy ends in Shreveport. Serious men with a serious mission, and a seriously great sense of humor. Airmen and soldiers serving in Afghanistan found laughter in difficult times, all courtesy of 4 little words in a letter from a school child – “Hope you make it. – Gavin” The troops wanted to meet the young man who inspired them so much. We'll have the story, and the touching meeting, tonight at 6 pm on KTBS 3.
