BOSSIER CITY, La. -

Jacob Wilson, 15, is an active teenager who likes sports, games, and competition.

"I like to four wheel, mud-dogging, to hunt, skateboarding, play sports," Wilson says.

But there is a more artistic side to this 15-year-old. He enjoys photography and drawing, dabbling most in tribal art.

"It passes the time," he says of his art. "It's just something I can put my heart into."

In school, Wilson excels in math and sciences, hoping to major in astrophysics in college.

Wilson is a protective older brother. He watched over his younger brother and sister when they all lived together. Both of his siblings have been adopted already.

Wilson says he keeps in contact with his brother. He loves to watch him grow up but feels like he has missed out on a childhood together.

"It's pretty amazing, but it's also kinda sad because I'm not there for him to help him with things." Wilson says.

The high schooler says he knows he needs a strong father figure.

Also, after spending so much time looking over younger children, it's hard for him to connect to siblings his own age, and Wilson says he would prefer to be adopted into an otherwise child-less home.

Wilson has watched both of his siblings find forever families. Now he wants the same love and support for himself.

"Just loving parents that do everything like I do, share the same characteristics as me."

For more information on adoption call the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services at 318.676.7100 and ask for Linda White.
