BOSSIER CITY, La. -

Bhavani Tivakaran, 5th grader at Apollo Elementary, receives her D.A.R.E. graduation certificate from Deputy Norman Craig, a D.A.R.E. instructor with the Bossier Sheriff's Office, in a ceremony today in Bossier City. Tivakaran, daughter of Dr. Sanjeevi and Shanthy Tivakaran of Bossier City and part of teacher Pam Thornell's class, was one of five graduates who read her D.A.R.E. report that highlighted what the students learned over the past 16 weeks in D.A.R.E. Dep. Josh Cagle, D.A.R.E. instructor for Apollo Elementary, says 135 dedicated students graduated from Apollo today, and they will be part of nearly 1,000 5th graders who will graduate from the program in Bossier Parish this week.
