River City Fest planned in Logansport

Plans are under way for the annual River City Fest, which this year is set for May 18-20.

The Times reports (http:bit.ly/Hcm0k1// ) this year's theme is "Shake Ya Groove Thing" and includes a tribute to the 1980s.

A time capsule buried in 1987 on the riverfront will be opened. Original participants in the burial will take part in the ceremony.

A parade, volleyball tournament and car show also are planned.

More details are available by contacting Tammy Timmons at ttimmons@rivercityevents.org.
