Two-vehicle crash in Shreveport claims one life

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La. -

One woman is dead - and another injured - after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.

It happened in the 6200 block of W. 70th Street just after 6 p.m. Juanita Donahue was traveling south bound in her 1995 Ford Taurus in the 6900 block of Klug Pines road approaching West 70th Street and pulled into the path of Pauline Robertson, who was traveling west in the 6200 block of West 70th Street. Robertson's car hit the driver's side of Donahue's vehicle. Donahue was transported to LSUHSC where she later died.

Robertson, who was not seriously injured in the crash, was transported to an area hospital for standard toxicological testing. While no exact cause of the accident has been established, crash investigators do not suspect alcohol as a factor in the crash.

Both drivers were elderly, and none carried passengers in their vehicles.
