Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La. -

A Shreveport business was recognized on a state level by the Louisiana Economic Development group.

SMS Distributions won the 2013 LED Small and Emerging Business of the Year.

They were recognized at the Governor's mansion last week.

SMS Distributions delivers any supply a business might need to run their day to day operation.

The company's founder contributes their success to the staff's ability to form good relationships with their clients.

"We want to go deeper," said Randy Bowers, founder and owner of SMS Distributions. "We just don't want to be an email address. We want to know about them, and we genuine about that."

SMS Distributions has only been in business for four years, and has already been recognized on a local level.

The greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce named it 2011 Small Business of the Year.
