BOSSIER CITY, La -

More assistance will soon be on the way for the tornado-ravaged city of Moore, Oklahoma.

Earlier this week, 24 people were killed when a EF-5 twister destroyed homes and an elementary school.

Now churches, organizations, schools and businesses are working to make a difference in the lives of those devastated by the violent storm.

Landers Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Bossier City plans to hit the road in a semi-truck stockpiled with items for those impacted by the tornado.

Customer Relations Manager April Adams tells KTBS 3 News that they will continue to accept non-perishable food items, water, gas cards, clothing, and diapers through Tuesday.

Landers plans to leave for Moore on Wednesday morning.

All items can be dropped off at their location at 2701 Benton Road during regular business hours (Mon.-Fri. 9:00a.m.-8:00p.m., Sat. 9:00a.m.-6:00p.m., closed Sunday).

Organizers of the effort ask that you refrain from donating glass items.
