Robbery at Shreveport dollar store; employee stabbed

SHREVEPORT, La. -

A store manager is injured during a robbery at Dollar General in Shreveport.


It happened just after 1p.m. Friday in the 8100 block of Line Avenue.

According to Shreveport Police, a male suspect wearing green pullover stabbed the store manager outside the building. He then entered the store and forced a clerk to open the cash register at knife point. 

The manager was transferred to the hospital. Police say he should be OK. 

The suspect fled the scene on foot. Police describe him to be a black man with a thin build, about 5'8" or 5'9". Anyone with information is encouraged to call police.
