Mother confronts school board over school bus incident

Posted: Updated:

Back in February, a Benton mother says her child was hurt by a school bus driver. She claims to have discussed the issue with the Bossier Parish School Board but with no results. In video from the bus, you see the driver quickly reach towards something in a seat child's seat. Parent Stephanie Mattson says the bus driver grabbed her 8 year old son's neck, leaving marks. She contacted the school board and reported the incident to the Bossier Sheriff's Office, which says they can't find any wrong doing after an investigation.

"The investigators, then back in February, met with students on the bus, the driver, the student in question and determined after the investigation, the interviews and the surveillance on the bus, that there was nothing to substantiate any sort of criminal charges," a spokesman said.
