A community is in mourning after a Texarkana teen dies from an apparent accidental gunshot wound.
Texarkana, Ark., police reported Monday that officers responded Saturday afternoon to a 911 call in the 300 block of Park Place Street.
Officers found a 14-year-old juvenile male, identified as Deontre Noble, with a gunshot wound.
The teen was pronounced dead on scene by Deputy Coroner Jan Gann.
His body was sent to Little Rock for an autopsy.
Noble was a student at Liberty-Eylau Middle School.
LEISD counselors and Liberty-Eylau area ministers are helping students and staff cope with the tragedy.
