High-speed chase lands one in jail

BOSSIER - WEBSTER PARISH -

A high-speed chase in Bossier Parish landed one man in jail.

Louisiana State Police tell KTBS 3 News that an officer was conducting a traffic stop in Bossier Parish. The suspect, identified as Jerome Pickens, 31 of Homer, reportedly had several warrants out for his arrest when he was stopped. Pickens then attempted to escape the officer and a chase ensued. The suspect reportedly reached speeds up to 100 mph before the chase ended in Webster Parish.

Pickens was taken into custody and booked into Bossier Parish Jail. He is being charged with speeding, reckless operation of vehicle, resisting arrest, flight and driving with a suspended license.

Prior also had warrants out of Claiborne and Webster Parishes.
