A detention hearing for an East Texas woman at the center of a ricin investigation is scheduled for Friday.
Shannon Richardson, the woman that accused her husband of a plot to poison the president, was arrested last week by authorities in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Back on May 10th, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, his gun control group, and President Obama received letters that tested positive for the deadly poison.
On May 30th, The FBI swarmed the home of Nathan Richardson in New Boston, Texas, after his wife, Shannon, told authorities about a suspicious substance that she believed to be ricin in their fridge.
Shannon is about five months pregnant and her defense attorney says that could be a factor in her detention hearing on Friday.
"She hasn't been formally charged in such a way that's required to enter a plea, if or when that is done, I'm certain she will enter not guilty," said Tonda Curry, Criminal Attorney.
Richardson's husband, Nathan filed for divorce last week, but it will not be final until she gives birth.
