Shreveport police looking for missing juvenile

SHREVEPORT, La. -

The Shreveport Police Department needs help finding a missing juvenile who has not been seen or heard from since Saturday evening.

Alexis Dixon, 14, was last seen leaving her home on June 8, 2013 in the 2600 block of Randolph Street around 11:45 p.m. Dixon is described as being about 5 feet tall and weighing approximately 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Alexis Dixon is asked to call Missing Persons detectives at 318-673-7029 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

    Drivers would have to secure dogs riding in truck beds while on interstate highways, if the Senate agrees to a bill backed by the House. The House voted 53-34 Tuesday to pass the proposal by Republican Rep. Thomas Willmott, of Kenner. Drivers could secure dogs with a crate, leash or a ventilated bed cover, under the bill.
