Controversy surrounds improperly parked Shreveport Police car

Posted: Updated:

The Shreveport Police Department has started an internal investigation after a patrol vehicle was found improperly parked at a local restaurant.

The vehicle identified as unit 741 was spotted earlier this week parked in a handicapped space at Superior Grill on Line Avenue.

Controversy ensued after the couple who snapped images of the patrol vehicle improperly parked surfaced on social media.

KTBS 3 News has also learned that the parking space in question has since been repainted and Superior Grill has established a few new handicapped parking positions.

No word yet on if the officer involved will face any disciplinary action. The officer has also not been identified.
