St. Jude leading the way in cancer research

Posted: Updated:
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis is the world's leading cancer research institution.

Research breakthroughs discovered at St. Jude have changed how childhood cancers are treated for millions of patients. That research has been honored with a Nobel Prize.

The KTBS 3 St.Jude Dream Home raises money to help ArkLaTex children get free access to the doctors and researchers who are constantly studying ways to improve health outcomes for children diagnosed with these life-threatening illnesses.

"Every dime makes a difference. We may be able to individually thank you, but as a whole, we can't do what we do without you," said Pediatric Researcher Susan Kaste.

The house is currently under construction in the Turtle Creek Subdivision in Benton. The address is 105 Caiden Street.

The home is valued at $350,000. It features four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and an outdoor kitchen.

Tickets are $100 each. Call 1-800-724-2423 for information.

Monday is the deadline to have a chance at this year's Early Bird Prize. It's a four-wheeler, courtesy of G & C Honda. The winner will be announced in July.

Every ticketholder will have a chance to win the KTBS St. Jude Dream Home. The grand prize winner will be announced during a live broadcast on August 11 on KTBS.
