Ex-Holden fire chief convicted of sex charges

LIVINGSTON, La. -

A former Holden fire chief has been convicted in state court of charges he sexually abused a 14-year-old girl.


   The Advocate reports that Franklin Dale Church was found guilty Friday of nine counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. His sentencing is set for June 27.


   During closing arguments for Church's trial, a prosecutor accused him of tying the victim up and having sex with her last year.


   Church's son, Adam, pleaded guilty to related charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
