Margaritaville finally opens its doors

Posted: Updated:

After more than a year of construction and efforts, the Margaritaville Resort Casino finally opened its doors Saturday. It's not the grand opening but the soft. There are still cosmetic work and touch-ups to be done, and the spa area isn't open yet. However, gamers can visit the casino; which is on floating concrete barge instead of a boat, eat at one of many restaurants or stay in one of the hotel's 395 rooms

"With 36 of them being suites," a spokeswoman said. "The property is all on one level. So, when you enter into the property, the excitement kind of generates throughout the property. When you're sitting in the restaurants, you can see the casino...."

The grand opening is expect to happen in the coming months.
