Explo Systems keep license for now

Posted: Updated:
BATON ROUGE, La. -

Explo Systems, Inc. will hold on to their license for now.

A hearing between Explo Systems and the Louisiana State Police has been rescheduled.

The two sides were to appear in court in Baton Rouge Monday to discuss an injunction filed by Explo.

Explo's owners claimed their constitutional rights were violated last month when state police yanked their license and took the keys to the facility. State police said it was done for public safety.

But the company argued there was no threat since all of the ten million pounds of improperly stored explosives had already been relocated.

Six Explo officials and the company face charges related to the explosion and the handling of explosives at Camp Minden.
