UPDATE: Man Arrested After Standoff in Shreveport

A domestic call to Riva Ridge Road in Shreveport ended peacefully Wednesday night.

Shreveport Police originally responded to the house just after 7PM.

Although a SWAT team was called to the residence, the man surrendered to police without incident. He was not arrested.



Original Story:

A man was arrested in Shreveport after he held authorities at bay for nearly three hours. According to Shreveport Police, it all started just after seven Wednesday evening with a domestic dispute in a house on the 9300 block of Riva Ridge Road. Police say the suspect pushed his wife into the front lawn before locking himself inside of the house. The man told police he would harm himself if anyone attempted to enter the home. A task force rushed in and grabbed the man just before ten o'clock. No names have been released as charges are pending. Stick with KTBS and ktbs.com for the latest on this developing story.
