Victim identified in Shreveport stabbing death

SHREVEPORT, La. -

Shreveport authorities have charged a local woman in a stabbing death of a Shreveport man.  Shortly after 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Shreveport Police responded to a stabbing at Cambridge Apartment complex on Mansfield Rd. When officers arrived they discovered, the body of a deceased adult male inside the home.  The victim, identified as 56 year-old Robert Williams, was suffering from at least one stab wound to the upper body.

Police arrested 39 year-old Betty Terrell, who was still was present inside the home on officers arrival.  In speaking with Terrell, authorities gathered that she allegedly stabbed the Williams, whom she was reportedly dating, during the midst of a dispute between the two. Terrell was taken into custody and now faces charges of Second Degree Murder.  She was booked into the Shreveport City Jail. 

The investigation into the incident continues as authorities seek to gather additional details about what may have led to the deadly stabbing.
