BOSSIER CITY, La. -

A Bossier City man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly stabbing his brother Saturday night.

Bossier City Police arrested 28 year-old Julio Cesa on a charge of aggravated second degree battery for allegedly stabbing his brother, Marvin Mendez, 39, of Shreveport. The incident supposedly happened late Saturday night outside of Cesa's residence in the 600 block of McDade Street. However, police weren't notified of the stabbing until just before 6 a.m. on Sunday after the Mendez called a relative from the scenic overlook on the A.R. Teague Parkway saying that he had been stabbed. Mendez's relative then called police. Police found Mendez at the scenic overlook suffering from what is believed to be a non life-threatening stab wound to the abdomen and Bossier City Fire Department personnel transported him to LSU Health Center in Shreveport.

Bossier City authorities found Cesa at his residence and took him into custody. Cesa was arrested and booked into the Bossier City Jail. He was also charged with possession of marijuana.
