Bossier Projects

Posted: Updated:

More progress is headed to Bossier Parish. Officials with the parish now have the money to start work on not one, but two major projects; the new north-south corridor and the new sewer district. Bossier Parish Engineer Butch Ford says they've just received 15-million dollars from the state capital out lay money to build sewer district number one. He says the 45-million dollar project will consolidate over thirty sewage ponds and private sewage plants between Red Chute Bayou and Hwy 157 in Haughton. And that's not all the money they received. Ford says they also received 5.2 million dollars to acquire the rights-of-way along Swan Lake Road in order to widen the roadway. He says construction for the sewer plant can start as soon as September and the Swan Lake Road widening project by 2015.
