Muskelly Family Remembers Murdered Toddler Ahead of Funeral

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La. -

Family members remember Rizcheir "Rere" Muskelly as their little girl, trying to keep up with her mom and older sisters.

"She couldn't ride her bike so she would just run behind them down the sidewalk," says the toddler's mother, Debbie Muskelly.

The Muskellys say Rere could never get enough attention. She let her sister play games while she sat beside the grown ups, and she never wanted to sleep alone.

"If you put her by herself, you'll wake up in the middle of the night," recounts her sister Kiki Muskelly. "Rere would be standing right there, if not in the bed beside you."

The Muskellys say they still cannot believe the three year old is gone.

Debbie Muskelly says she allowed a friend to help take care of Rere while she was incarcerated in of her life. Now their reunion will have to wait until they can find each other in Heaven.

"I just know that God's got her," says Debbie Muskelly. "She was too perfect. You know, that's why she couldn't stay. She was too perfect for this place. She was too perfect for this world, so she couldn't stay here."

Funeral services are set for noon Thursday at Winnfield Funeral Home.
