Before HOF Induction, Shaquille O'Neal thanks Louisiana

Posted: Updated:

It was a day 60 years in the making.  The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame was finally able to open the doors to a facility that now houses the best memorabilia and moments in the Pelican State's history.  But Saturday night, it was all about the heavyweight inductee class this year.  From LSU star athletes to a professional tennis player to a Bossier City horse jockey, this class has a little bit for every sports fan.  They gathered Saturday to sign autographs and stayed in town for the induction ceremony that night.  The headliner of the class of 2013 is a big one, literally.  Shaquille O'Neal thinks he owes his out of this world career to the state of Louisiana.
