They used to be enemies on the grid-iron but Fair Park star Morris Claiborne and Green Oaks standout L'Damien Washington joined forces Saturday at Mo's 2nd annual free football camp to help mentor the youth of Shreveport. Washington just graduated from Missouri in the spring and is heading into his senior season as a wide receiver with the Tigers.
He bought his own plane ticket and flew himself down here to help out at Claiborne's camp. Washington thinks there needs to be more positive role models for the youth of the port city and he wants to be a role model for the kids. He said it's a big deal to go to college and graduate and he wants to make sure the kids understand that they can achieve that as well.
