Rising hot air accompanied by smoke from a fire near Greenwood, Louisiana formed this small cumulus cloud (top left side of the photo) late this morning.

These types of clouds normally develop when pockets of warm and humid air rise, then cool and condense into visible moisture or water droplets.

We usually see cumulus clouds during hot afternoons this time of year.
