It's been awhile since LSU has had a good game manager in at quarterback, probably not since the likes of Matt Flynn in 2007 when the Tigers won the national championship. And many thought last season would be the year, with highly rated junior college QB Zach Mettenberger at the helm.
The transfer had been in the system one season before starting, but it was an average one by LSU standards to say the least, ranking 10th in the SEC in total offense. Now with new offensive guru Cam Cameron in the purple and gold's corner and all of the tools in the right place, current LSU linebacker Lamin Barrow has high hopes.
Barrow stopped by Mo Claiborne's football camp last weekend and after going up against the new LSU offense, the expectations are limitless. We will all have to wait and see just how explosive this new LSU offense will be when they open up the season in the Cowboys Classic against TCU August 31st.
