ArkLaTex Made: Three Nails Photography

SHREVEPORT, La. -

In this week's ArkLaTex Made, KTBS 3's Rick Rowe found a unique business that is attracting people from around the world.

Rick says he always wondered when did they know, when did someone notice and when did someone finally say "this is a gift."

"Photography was never something I was interested in. She begged me to take her senior portrait and I put them up on Facebook and they blew up from there" says Photographer Hunter Leone

Rick first met Hunter Leone just a few months after he blew up on Facebook. The young man had just quit a job sacking job at Brookshires and now everybody wanted him to take their pictures.

The self-taught, reluctant genius could not deny his gift and now he is sharing it with the world.

A couple of dozen people from all over the world, Hunter Leone "wannabe's" have been coming to Shreveport every few months to learn the secret. They're participating in workshops with elaborately staged photo shoots and part of that secret may be Meka Bennet Reliford.

"We hooked up, we did a shoot and it was like our creative energy just meshed so well. I knew this was the beginning of something beautiful" says Meka.

Meka was a Shreveport girl who went west as a make-up artist. She spent some time with some big names like Kelly Clarkson, Paris Hilton, Fergie and Kim Kardashian.

Meka came back to Shreveport and is sharing her own gift, the elaborate make-up that only Hunter Leone and she understand.

"She is someone I can fully trust. I can leave and when the model shows up, I know it will be amazing" says Hunter Leone.

That's a good word for what these two have managed to pull off. He dreams, builds and sees and she sees it too. She helps him build it and they come; from half-way around the world to learn the secret of the gift.
