Murvon Shooting

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La. -

What started out as a home break-in, ended with an alleged robber being shot to death. Early Saturday morning Shreveport Police found a man shot on Murvon Street in West Shreveport. Authorities say 24-year old Malcom Fuller forced his way inside the home armed with two handguns demanding money from the occupants inside. Shortly after he was shot by one of the people inside. He was taken to LSU-Health where he later died. Caddo District Attorney Charles Scott said when faced with a threat in their home occupants' right to use deadly force. "A person has a right to defend themselves, a person has the right to defend others and it depends on the nature of the defense whether it's deadly force or less than lethal force balanced with the threat that is presented.," DA Scott said. The case is still under investigation.

We've been told by many veterans that they receive quality care at the V.A. hospital in Shreveport. But for some getting an appointment to see their caregivers is the challenge. According to our V.A., they do not have a problem getting patients seen quickly - and the numbers they report echo that conclusion. We’ve uncovered concerns, however, over how their numbers look so good - while patients are still waiting to be seen.“Certainly from my viewpoint here, as a veteran, as a physician, the c...
