New Orleans, La. - New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Morgan and defensive end Kenyon Coleman will be out for the season after suffering injuries. The announcement was made by Saints' coach Sean Payton following Wednesday's practice. Morgan suffered a torn ACL and Coleman suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

Morgan was slated to play a key role in the Saints offense in 2013 as the No. 3 wide receiver behind starters Marques Colston and Lance Moore. Others who could fill that void left open by Morgan are Nick Toon, Kenny Stills, Andy Tanner, or recently-signed veteran Steve Breaston.

Coleman was also expected to play a significant role for the Saints in 2013. The 12-year-veteran was brought in because of his familiarity with Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan and for his ability to stop the run.

Morgan tweeted about his injury Wednesday. Morgan tweeted, "Appreciate all the concern and love. Staying positive through it all. Time to get stronger physically as well as mentally!!!"
