SHREVEPORT, La. -

KTBS 3 News has learned that a fourth Shreveport firefighter who was wanted for cruelty to the infirm and principal to prostitution, has surrendered to authorities.

Jason Vaughan, 34, surrendered to authorities just after 4 PM Monday. Vaughan joined the Shreveport Fire Department in 2002 and is a fire engineer at Station 8. Vaughan is also a volunteer firefighter with the Bossier Parish Fire District 5 in Plain Dealing.

Warrant issued for fourth Shreveport firefighter

Vaughan is one of seven employees placed on administrative leave related to this case. Vaughan's bond has been set at $105,000.

The investigation started in late July of 2013. Shreveport Police investigators initiated an inquiry into a complaint received by the department relative to criminal activity alleged to have happened at Shreveport Fire Station 8 on Velva Street.

Based on information gathered during their in-depth investigation, authorities obtained an arrest warrant nearly two weeks ago charging 50-year-old Shreveport Fire Captain Derrick Harris, with one count each of cruelty to the infirm and principal to prostitution. Harris was arrested on August 2 and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a $105,000 bond.
