SHREVEPORT, La. -

KTBS 3 News has learned that Shreveport Fire Captain Randy Chandler has surrendered to authorities. A warrant was issued on Wednesday for Chandler's arrest. Randy Sanford Chandler, 51 of Stonewall, turned himself in to the Caddo Correctional Center and was booked on one count of cruelty to the infirm. His bond has been set at $100,287. 

Chandler is the fifth Shreveport Fire Department employee to be arrested in the scandal.

Shreveport's Fire Station 8 on Velva Street has been making headlines since the first arrest of one of its firemen. So far, seven firefighters are under investigation including two captains. Five of those under investigation have been arrested and officials say that more arrests may follow. 

Jason Vaughan, Shreveport Fire Captain Derrick Harris, Clint Richardson and Billy Glass have all been arrested in connection with the case. All four have been charged with principal to prostitution and cruelty to the infirm.
