Calvary prepares for tough road to the Superdome

Posted: Updated:
SHREVEPORT, La -

The Calvary football program has never made a trip to the state championship in the Superdome and this year's crop of Cavs are gunning for New Orleans.  University high knocked the Cavaliers out of the playoffs in the quarters and it won't be an easy road to try and make it even further.

Calvary opens the season against one of the projected top 5A programs in the state, Parkway and it'll be uphill from there.  The Cavs face 2 other 5A programs in West Monroe and Byrd, plus 4A powerhouses LaGrange and St. Thomas More.
