Tech making transition

Posted: Updated:
BOSSIER CITY, La -

Louisiana Tech head coach Skip Holtz came to the Shreveport-Bossier area Wednesday to meet with about 160 Bulldog faithful.  In a luncheon at Ralph and Kacoo's, Holtz told the crowd the team was now making the transition from fall camp to game week.

The Bulldogs open the season a week from Saturday at North Carolina State of the ACC.  Holtz has yet to name a starting quarterback, but then neither has new N. C. State head coach Dave Doeren.  Holtz says the Wolfpack has three different quarterbacks which forces the Bulldogs to prepare for all three, which will make for a busy game week in Ruston.

Tech also announced it has added an SEC to the schedule for next year.  The team will travel to Auburn for a game onSeptember 27, 2014.
